At Shika Cloud, we collect and use personal information only as needed to provide billing, support, identity verification, and infrastructure services.

1. Data We Collect

Depending on the service, this may include:

  • Account identity data such as full name, email address, phone number, company name, billing address, and tax details.
  • Infrastructure and support data such as IP addresses, SSH public keys, support tickets, abuse correspondence, and service configuration metadata.
  • Billing and risk data such as transaction references, invoice history, payment status, and identity or KYC information where required.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to:

  • Provision and manage your cloud infrastructure.
  • Process payments via our secure gateways (IntaSend/Paystack).
  • Send critical service alerts, abuse notices, and account communications.
  • Comply with anti-fraud and KYC requirements of upstream providers.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share necessary information with subprocessors and service partners involved in delivering the service:

  • Infrastructure partners: Provisioning and security data may be shared with upstream infrastructure providers in order to deliver compute services.
  • Payment processors: Transaction details are handled by integrated payment gateways. We do not store full card details or mobile money PINs.
  • Domain registrars and registries: Registrant and DNS-related data is shared where domain products require it.

4. Data Location

VPS infrastructure data may be processed or stored in the Amsterdam, Netherlands region through our upstream infrastructure stack. Account, billing, and support records may also be handled by processors outside Kenya where operationally necessary.

5. Data Retention

Account and billing records are retained as required for tax, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes. Service data may be deleted after cancellation, non-payment, or retention expiry according to the relevant product policy.
